Call for poster presentations

The main objective of the poster sessions is for young researchers within the Dutch Physics community to present their work. Therefore, preference will be given to abstracts by postdocs and PhD candidates. Due to venue capacity, participation in the conference for MSc and BSc students cannot be guaranteed, therefore MSc and BSc students are not allowed to submit an abstract for a poster presentation.

At NWO Physics there is room for a maximum of 400 poster presentations. Would you like to present a poster? Make sure to submit your poster abstract before the deadline on Friday 6 November 2026.

For the selection of the poster presentations, the following guidelines will be followed:

  • The year of the PhD work/postdoc position (NB: postdoc students receive the same prioritisation as last-year PhD candidates);

Poster requirements

  • The poster should contain scientific results;
  • The poster should be maximally A0 in portrait;
  • Make sure the poster;
    • refers to the people involved;
    • includes their institutions/organisations;
    • and is accompanied by the appropriate acknowledgements, logos etc.

If the number of submitted posters does exceed the number of available slots, a selection is made based on the submissions per theme/research group, also taking into account the programme of the parallel sessions. An abstract can be submitted EITHER for an oral (parallel-session) presentation OR a poster presentation OR a demo. Please note that in case your oral presentation is not selected, it will not be converted into a poster presentation.
