You are currently working on a (master, PhD , EngD or PostDoc) research project and that probably has your hands full.
At the same time, you wonder what your future career will look like.
Have you considered what you would like to do with your academic degree?
Do you want to continue as a researcher or would you rather find a job outside of academia?

We invite you to dive into an inspiring and hands‑on career session.
During this workshop, you’ll gain fresh perspectives, practical tools, and actionable tips to help you navigate the early stages of career planning.

This interactive session brings together three engaging experts who each took their own unique career path—inside and far beyond academia:

  • Isabelle Kohler — lecturer, writer, and coach, with a passion for empowering early‑career researchers.
  • Jennifer Faber — programme officer, former coach and teacher, and even a former weather presenter, showcasing just how diverse a scientific career can become.
  • Barry W. Fitzgerald — science communicator, author, and moderator of NWO Physics 2026, known for making science accessible and inspiring.

Together, they will guide you in exploring what your next step could be, help you reflect on your strengths, and share advice drawn from their own rich and varied professional experiences.
